Replace Missing Teeth in Jersey

We understand the impact that a missing tooth or teeth can have on the aesthetic appearance of a smile and most importantly, the self confidence of the person. Dental implants are the best solution to replace missing teeth and our wealth of experience in fixing smiles makes Creative Smiles the dental implant centre of choice.

What are Dental Implants?

A small screw that is implanted into the jaw to mimic natural tooth roots, dental implants are the closest solution to natural teeth. The screw then becomes the foundation to hold a crown, bridge or denture securely in place, often lasting a lifetime with adequate care.

How Many Teeth Can Implants Replace?

Many people believe that it takes one implant to replace each individual missing tooth. However, this isn’t the case and in fact, one or two dental implants can be used to replace a number of missing teeth, or a whole arch of teeth can be replaced with just 4 implants.

We can restore a whole mouth of teeth in just one day! For more information regarding ‘Teeth in a Day’, click here.

What does the Treatment Involve?

Placing an implant generally involves a minor oral surgical procedure, where the treatment area is numbed with a local anaesthetic and an incision is made where the gum has healed over the jaw or the problematic tooth is carefully removed to be replaced with an implant.

In cases where teeth have been missing for a longer duration, the jaw bone may have reduced in size. If this is the case, bone grafting may be required, which can be done at the time of the dental implant placement.

In order for the implant to fuse with the surrounding bone and create a stable foundation, there is a healing period which typically lasts between 6-8 weeks. Temporary crowns, bridges or dentures can be provided during this time to fill the gap until healing is complete. After which, the implant can be restored, giving the patient a new, healthy looking smile that they desire.
