Root Canal Therapy

Why it's needed

When the nerve inside a tooth becomes inflamed or infected—often from deep decay or a crack—root canal treatment can relieve pain and help save the tooth.

What happens & who it’s for

Under local anaesthetic, we clean and shape the canals, disinfect, and seal the space to prevent reinfection. X-rays (and occasionally 3D imaging) support planning. A crown may be recommended afterwards to protect the tooth, especially in back teeth.

Aftercare & what to expect

Mild tenderness is normal for a few days. We’ll outline pain-relief tips and when to return for the final restoration. Keep the area clean and attend recalls so the tooth stays comfortable.
