Same-day care & what to expect

  • Triage and diagnosis: we’ll listen, examine and take any necessary x-rays.

  • Immediate relief: where possible we’ll treat the cause there and then (temporary dressing, smoothing sharp edges, drainage of infection, prescriptions, etc.).

  • Straightforward plan: you’ll leave with clear aftercare and the earliest follow-up slot if more time is needed.

If you have facial swelling, fever, difficulty breathing or swallowing, seek urgent medical help immediately.

Quick tips before you arrive

Knocked-out adult tooth: hold by the crown (not the root). If clean, gently place back in the socket and bite on a cloth. If not possible, store in milk or saliva—then come straight in.

Broken tooth/filling: keep any pieces, avoid very hot/cold foods, and cover sharp edges with dental wax if you have it.

Swelling/pain: avoid heat on the face; take over-the-counter pain relief you know is safe for you; don’t place aspirin on the gum.

Brace issues: if a wire is irritating, use orthodontic wax; bring any loose parts.

After-hours & availability

During opening hours we’ll do our best to see you the same day. If you call outside hours, our voicemail will advise next steps and the soonest time to contact us. For severe swelling, trauma, or symptoms affecting breathing or swallowing, use urgent medical services.

Clear costs

Emergency visits focus on stabilising the problem and relieving pain. Fees depend on what’s needed on the day; you’ll get a plain-English explanation and itemised plan before any further treatment. If follow-up is required, we’ll book this at the earliest suitable time.
