Veneers & Composite Build-Ups
Why choose them
What happens & who it’s for
After photos and a smile assessment, we’ll talk through what you’d like to change and create a simple plan.
-
Composite build-ups: Teeth are cleaned and lightly prepared, then layers of tooth-coloured resin are shaped and polished for a natural finish—often completed in one visit. Great for tidying edges, closing small spaces and repairing chips with minimal tooth alteration.
-
Porcelain veneers: We plan shade and shape, prepare a thin layer of enamel where appropriate, and place temporaries while the lab crafts your final veneers. Ideal when you want a more substantial change to symmetry or colour with excellent long-term aesthetics.
If alignment or bite position would improve the outcome, we may recommend sequencing with aligners or other dentistry before finishing with bonding or veneers.
Aftercare & what to expect
You’ll receive clear guidance on looking after your new smile at home. Temporary sensitivity can occur (especially after veneer preparation) and usually settles quickly. Avoid biting directly on very hard foods with newly built-up edges, and consider a night-guard if you clench or grind. Composite may need occasional polishing or small touch-ups over time; porcelain veneers are designed to last with good daily cleaning and regular hygiene visits. We’ll schedule reviews to keep everything looking and functioning as intended.
